Q. What kind of clothing can you use for a quilt?
A. Nearly any type of clothing can be used. Tshirts, hoodies, jerseys are all very common, but we can use button up, polos, racing clothing, wedding dresses, suits, etc. At this point we have worked with nearly every type of clothing made. Keep in mind the way your care for your quilt will be affected be the type of clothing you include.
Q. Can the quilts be washed?
A. The quilts are cared for as you would the most delicate item that was included in your quilt. If everything was machine washed before, it is still safe to do so. If something had special care instructions, then the whole quilt would need to be cared for the same way. Instructions are included with your order.
Q. Do you offer discounts?
A. Yes, we offer a multi order discount of 10%. As well as a returning customer discount of 10%.
We also offer a 5% discount for military, firefighters and police officers with an id that can be combined with other offers.
Q. What type of fabric do you use on the back?
A. We normally use 100% cotton flannel so the quilt is very soft & warm. However, we do offer the option to use traditional cotton in the event that you don't want flannel, there is no additional charge for this change. And we can also add Minky for an additional charge depending on the overall size of the quilt. Charges range between $25-$60
Q. Do I have to use a solid back? Can I provide my own back fabric?
A. No, you don't have to go with a solid back, we often refer people to fabric.com to choose a cotton backing of any print they'd like. If you are providing your own fabric we will work with you to get the right amount of material shipped to us and adjust your total bill to reflect the change.
Q. Can you do double sided quilts with shirts on the back?
A. No. Our process has not given quality results when attempting a two sided quilt. We can work with you to make the quilt larger, make multiple quilts or make other items with your memories.
Q. What do you use to fill the quilt?
A. We use 100% cotton batting to make the quilt warm, soft and washable.
Q. Can you add embroidery to a square to add a name or message?
A. Yes. We can add up to 4 lines on a block for an additional $10-15. Be sure to contact us with the exact wording you would like.
Q. What if I don't have a Paypal account?
A. No problem. You do NOT have to have a Paypal account to pay by credit card. We can set up an order through Etsy or send you the directions to use Paypal without an account. We also allow personal checks or money orders. With checks, please keep in mind there is 10 day clearing time which could affect your ship date. If you need to make special arrangements, please contact us.
Q. Do you ship to military or overseas?
A. Yes. We will ship to a military base with the proper mailing info. For overseas orders, shipping and other fees are the responsibility of the client. We will include these charges on your invoice once the order is finished.
Q. My images are already precut, can you work with them?
A. Yes. As indicated on the order form, there will be an additional fee, and keep in mind the overall design may be affected due to precutting. We will try to maintain as much of the images as possible, but often have to add solid pieces or trim the image in order to sew them together.
Q. What if I want sashing or borders on my quilt?
A. We try to work with special requests, you would want to email us in advance to discuss your request. We regularly offer a 2 inch border around the outside edge. The color normally matches the backing fabric, but can be different if you'd like. If you are interested in a border, please be sure to indicate that on your order form.
Q. Why don't you use interfacing?
A. Interfacing is a tool used to prevent stretching. Our process allows us to not use the interfacing while maintaining the quality our customers have come to expect and love. Not using it leaves our quilts soft, warm & durable without the added weight and stiffness that interfacing brings.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Normal turnaround time is 4-5 weeks from the time we have it in the shop. During graduation or Christmas seasons allow closer to 8 weeks. If your backing needs to be ordered there is a chance it could take longer.
Q. Can you make a regular quilt if I send the pattern & fabric?
A. Yes. Pricing and time will depend on the size and complexity of the pattern. Please contact us to discuss details.
Q. Do you offer just quilting services for a quilt top I already made?
A. Yes. We have simple overall quilting designs we offer. The cost is based on the size of your top and a few other factors, like if you want us to do the binding for you as well. We do ask that your backing material is at least 8 inches larger all around than the top. We can also provide cotton batting at wholesale pricing if you need it. Simply contact us for details.

A. No. We only make quilts from materials that our clients provide us. Even the quilts that we donate for charities, the charities have arranged the shirts & clothing to have us create the items to be donated.
